I would like to welcome you to the 2009-2010 Symphonic Band season at Smithtown High School East, and congratulate our “new” Symphonic Band members. I am confident that this year we will continue to reach the level of musical excellence that the Hgih School East Symphonic Band is known for. You have all been placed in this organization because of your commitment to your instrument and your advanced musical ability. I know that this new school year will be filled with many amaziong musical experiences and we will enjoy a fun and rewarding year together.

The goal for this year is to maintain the reputation of tyhe Symphonic Band and to expose students to many styles of music within the band repertoire. Together we will work towards rasising your musical ability, skills, proficiency, musicianship, and love for music while giving you a deeper understanding of your instrument.
