 Welcome! I would like to welcome you to the 2008-2009 Symphonic Band Season at Smithtown High School East, and congratulate our "new" Symphonic Band Members. I am truly very excited to work with you all this year. Even though we are a new band, I am confident that we will continue to reach the level of musical excellence that the Symphonic Band is known for. You have all been chosen to be in this organization because of your advanced musical ability; commitment and dedication to performing quality literature at a high level of performance. I know that this new school year will be filled with many amazing musical experiences. My goal for this year is to maintain the reputation of the Symphonic Band and expose students to many styles of music within the band repertoire. It is my intention to raise your musical ability, skills, proficiency, musicianship, and love for music while giving you a deeper understanding of your instrument. -Dr. Kalabza-Balsamo Students & Others...
